Community solar provides equitable access to solar energy, allowing everyone – regardless of income, homeowner status, or geography – to lower their energy bills, help clean our air and water, and put power back in the hands of communities. It creates good local jobs and drives economic growth here at home.
Solar energy is key to unlocking our clean energy future.
But rooftop solar can be inaccessible for some homes, businesses, renters or affordable housing property owners.
Enter community solar, which allows multiple participants to share the cost-savings benefits of a single solar installation. Community solar is spreading across the country, thanks in part to smart state policies. But Pennsylvania’s failure to act has us falling behind.
